Week 9

This weekend has been so hectic. The week leading up to it was pretty normal. It feels great to be crossing off things on the list. The quarter is so close to being over. This coming week is our last regular week before finals. The stressful weekend started on Friday for me. I had a big presentation in my media law class. I wrote a six-page paper and gave an 8-minute presentation on Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996. As you can imagine, it was a fascinating and engaging topic. I actually enjoyed it but it wasn’t as great for my practice listeners. Mom and MJ were almost as excited as I was to be finished with it. Luckily, my presentation went well and everyone in the class didn’t think it was too boring so that was great. After classes, MJ and I had a choir rehearsal and then went to vespers that night. We finally finished our worship credits for this quarter which is great to be done with. Vespers last week was what they call Journey Vespers. They just play music the whole time so it is like a concert. The band was amazing.

Saturday was our super long day. The choir was performing at church so we had a call time of 9:30. Church ended at 12:45 and then we had a call time of 2:55 for our concert at 4:00. The concert ended at 5:30 and then we went to a school drama play at 6:45. The play was funny but we were super tired. It was nice seeing our friends in the play. They did a great job. We didn’t get a lot of breaks yesterday, so I couldn’t write a post. The concert went fantastic, though. MJ did great. She always says afterward that there were things she could’ve done better but she is proud of herself for doing it.

Pine Cone!

Here we are at Pine Cone on Sunday. Mom and MJ got the exact same thing they always get. I mixed it up and got a new flavor. It wasn’t anything crazy, just Peanut Butter and Chocolate. We officially finished Friends this weekend. We are super sad about it. We also watched the Friends Reunion, which was awesome. MJ and I have restarted Friends already. We occasionally mix it up with New Girl. We pretty much only watch things that make us laugh. Life is too stressful on its own.

This weekend was University Days when high schools tour the college and sit in on some classes. There were a couple of kids from CVCA at WWU, so it was nice to see them. Mom is leaving tomorrow, sadly. I’m not too stressed because I am so excited about Spring Break. MJ and I have been looking forward to Vidanta all quarter. We have pictures of us at Vidanta hanging in our room and we are so excited to be back. It feels like forever since we were last there. I am also super excited about the warm weather. I definitely prefer heat to cold. I will be flying back home by myself for the first time ever. I have a super long layover in Seattle so it won’t be too stressful. We can’t wait to see everyone!!

Love,

J&M
